Hello everyone! I think most of you know who I am from Tumblr (same name there) but if you don't. Hi! I'm Spotty, huge Rumbelle fan (also a big fan of Phantom of the Opera and DragonLance) and owner of two awesome dogs (see avatar).
I've done NaNoWriMo for a number of years, sometimes successful and sometimes not. The last two years I've done it have been with Rumbelle fics (Fate Loves the Fearless and Away to Me). This year I'm doing something a little different. Basically it was either not participate or do this!
The first part of NaNo will be dedicated to finishing Away to Me. I have about 3-4 chapters (so 9k-12k words or so) left. And I really want to finish it for everyone who has been reading it. This is my chance to really focus on it!
After THAT I have a couple options. But I think right now I'm going to do an AU in which Gold owns a storm chasing company and Belle vacations with it. But I'm not 100% sure on that just yet!

Spotty, first thanks for setting this up! Secondly, I am extremely impressed that you know how much longer Away to Me is going to run. Authors who can preplan and follow their story lines without getting distracted awe and amaze me. Looking forward to both your stories!

Well, there's every possibility that I will stray! But I know I'm coming to a close and I have the last chapters outlined as to what's going to happen. Sometimes something takes me in a slightly different direction and chapters get altered (at one point two chapters got combined together into one because it worked that way better and it had more like 4k of words instead of 6-8k for the ideas), but I have a basic idea of where I'm going and where the end is!

I think the only fic I've planned thoroughly is Cupcakes (which was kind of a special case) and the upcoming Nano (mainly because I've had so much time to think about it). Stuff like F&F I have a huge overarching idea of what's going to happen and things I need to get in, then I have the problem of trying to fit everything in....

I have a question, tho, whats a Storm chaser? I mean, how would Belle vacation with it? (sounds dangerous?)

Storm chasers are exactly what they sound like! People who chase tornadoes and supercell thunderstorms. And they actually offer vacations doing it. They take a van with a handful of people and drive all over the midwest chasing storms. It's my dream vacation! But they are super expensive (like $3k or so for a week to 10 days). No more so than a cruise I suppose, but it's still a lot of money that I don't have. Someday I'm going to do it though!
This is the basic idea I've been working with:
Gold is the owner of a storm chasing vacation company and Belle is one of the vacationers. Featuring recently widowed Mrs. Lucas (aka Granny) and her granddaughter Ruby who agreed to take her on one of her Bucket List vacations even though she’s terrified of storms, a rather grumpy Leroy who is rewarding himself for being sober for two years, idealistic Mary Margaret who has agreed to accompany her husband David who has an interest in weather photography even if he doesn’t quite know what he’s doing, and Gold’s son Neal, who doesn’t exactly get along with his father, as the driver of the second vehicle on the tour.
I have sort of an outline of where they go day by day and what they see and sort of an idea of what I want to happen between Gold and Belle. My hope is that it won't be a super long story. Like maybe 10 chapters or so.

Oh... I didn't know that was a thing...sounds...intriguing. Too bad is so expensive. But I like that idea, it could lead them to a series of very promising scenarios!
