Hi everyone! I wanted to give you all one of my personal favorite tips for writing stories/fanfics. Gather inspirational images in a place where you can easily find them when you are stuck in your story. The images will help you with inspiration when you don't know what to write precisely. For The Lonely Empath I have a folder on my pc with images of Rumple and Belle in Storybrooke, where their expressions remind me of certain scenes that are in the story, but also with pictures of a sauna, a jukebox, a pool table, cozy chalets in the woods, cozy fireplaces, all sorts of things that are also in the fic. For Heart of the Ship I have my own separate blog with an "inspiration" tag. heartoftheship.tumblr.com/tagged/inspirationOver there I post images of Belle and Rumple, fanarts, anything to do with the story, so a lot of pirate ships and mermaids and oceans and all sorts of other things which can help in describing characters such as Jafar and Jefferson. When I feel like looking away from my word file, I go there first and see if it inspires me. With a few more days to go until Nanowrimo begins, it's a good period to look for more images that inspire you now. ;-)

I love this idea!
One thing I do is if I'm writing OCs is to find a picture/photo of someone that looks similar to how I picture them in my head, or stuff that makes me think of the character. I pull out the files when I get stuck.
