We all look at not getting to 50k as as failure. But it's NOT. If you wrote 20k or even 1k of words in the entire month of November, you STILL wrote. And you STILL did something creative. I'm falling behind, but I've still written almost 4000 words when I might not have otherwise.
So keep at it.
And keep being awesome, all of you!

I want to second this. Last year I only got to 20k or so for NaNo, but it was still more than I'd ever written so for me, it was something to be proud of. No matter how much you write, be proud that you wrote it, because it's still amazing. And remember, there are plenty of amazing authors out there who ended up with published novels that they started but didn't finish for NaNo.
