So I've been writing and writing and I'm sort of falling behind, but that's because I keep finding myself hitting dead ends. I'll start writing a part and I can't seem to get out of it, even when it starts dragging. Does anyone have any advice on how to really get your story moving and pick up the pace? I'm trying to make it more interesting but I can't figure out how to get from where I am now to the next step in my outline.

I'm having the same problem myself. What I did the first time it happened was to write another scene, the one that I wanted to get to, and keep writing until I hit another dead end, then I would revised the part I skipped. That helped

Another thing to think of -- just plow ahead. Keep writing. You can always tighten it up after you've written the words. There have been times I've gone and removed whole chunks of a story after the fact because the plot was lagging and what I'd written wasn't necessary.
